About Me And International Travel Tips

So here's a little infomation about me. I am your Anonymous Travel Security and Safety Advisor (I’m an American living in the beautiful city of Quito, Ecuador).

I’ve also been in law enforcement for 11 years and have traveled to over 25 countries around the world to include some pretty dangerous places like Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan and Sudan.

Want to know more about me? Read on.

During my travels I learned many security related international travel tips that kept me safe and alive.

Living in Ecuador and traveling the world gave me the opportunity to meet fellow travelers, share international travel tips, and exchange stories.

Unfortunately, some of those have been bad stories. Numerous travelers and expatriates have become victims of crimes in the countries they visited.

Why I created this website

I love traveling and living abroad but, hate to hear about fellow travelers and expats who become victims of crimes while overseas.

I decided to create this website to point out some international travel tips and help others living in foreign countries become more aware of their security while abroad. Many travelers and expats are:

1) Not aware of current security threats against foreigners.

2) Don’t know precautions to take in order not to become a victim.

3) Are confused about what to do if they are a victim in a foreign country.

Something else about me, I like helping people. I want you have fond memories of your vacation instead of harsh feelings toward a country or its citizens because of victimization.

Traveling and living abroad should be fun, and can be fun, as long as you learn and use the international travel tips I provide here. The world can be both a beautiful place, but also a dangerous place.

I like to compare world travel to a rose, beautiful but dangerous. A rose is very beautiful to look at; however, if you’re not careful, you can get pricked by the thrones and get hurt.

Many plan their vacation down to the smallest details. Rarely do they think about travel security and safety or know about international travel tips to keep them safe.

However, in this day and age travel security is a part of all our lives. The unfortunate events of September 11th showed the world that security is not just a responsibility of law enforcement but a personal responsibility.

I've noticed while searching the web that there are very few reliable security related international travel tips. Most travel safety advice is provided by people with no security or law enforcement experience. Sure they may have travel experience but no law enforcement experience.

Other information is provided by law enforcement or security officials, who have never traveled to foreign countries. Well, the international travel tips that I provide are from both personal experience in travel and law enforcement experience.

On this website you will find practical travel advice that works, if you use it.

So now that you know a little about me, let me share with you some international travel tips to help keep you and your family safe while in a foreign country.
